Speaker 1:

This is Latina's State of Mind, a podcast created by Latinas for all audiences, where we can share our experiences about love, life and everything in between.

Speaker 2:

Hello, hello, and welcome to another episode of Latina's State of Mind, season 2. Alright, so we're gonna be talking about an episode that's really timely. Something that some people love and some people hate, depending on their relationship status most of the time Overall, how they're feeling. I guess some people hate it even if they are in a relationship. So we're talking about Valentine's Day.

Speaker 1:

Okay, do you guys fall in love?

Speaker 2:

I hate or I love I love, I love, I love, I love it too. Yeah, dang it.

Speaker 3:

One of us should be against it, just for fucks of it.

Speaker 2:

We're suckers. What do you guys love about it?

Speaker 1:

I love the colors. I was thinking that too. I love the hearts, the colors.

Speaker 3:

The hearts, the colors, the decorations, the sweets, the cheesy comments, movies. I feel like I don't get to experience that every single year, but this time is the time to express yourself in that way.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's a really good excuse to show how much you love someone.

Speaker 1:

And I hate it when people are like, oh, you should tell me, but you love them all the time. Yeah but it's not easy for everybody to say it and sometimes people need these days to say the things they want to say. So I think I love that. It's an opportunity to share feelings with others. And also I like it because in Spanish it's the day of love and friendship, so I grew up looking at it as it's not only just about love and being in a relationship, but it's like being grateful for your friendship.

Speaker 2:

That's how I grew up learning about it, yeah.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, living through it, I guess.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I love it. It was always about a relationship for me. She's the whitest one of the group.

Speaker 3:

So it makes sense.

Speaker 2:

No, I'm just kidding. No, you're right, I didn't even think about that. It is love and friendship which is super important.

Speaker 1:

Did you ever hate it?

Speaker 2:

I don't think I ever hated it. I think when I was single and it was Valentine's Day, it was kind of an excuse to get drunk and be like, oh fuck, this holiday I'm single, you know that kind of vibe. But I don't think I ever hated it. I think I've always been like low key or romantic. So I like love that Any excuse to like do something nice for someone else.

Speaker 1:

I didn't hate it, but I was so sappy about it when I was single I was like I'm never gonna find love. Nobody's ever gonna love me.

Speaker 2:

I used to call it Independence Day. Yeah, because you're celebrating your independence. Anyways, go ahead.

Speaker 3:

I mean that unwanted independence, or wanted, or wanted.

Speaker 1:

Some of them wanted it, I didn't. I definitely didn't I was fine with it Actually. Jerome was the first person to ever give me flowers for Valentine's Day.

Speaker 2:

Oh, friend, I never gave you flowers.

Speaker 1:

I remember you drove to old work for somebody else and gave them flowers on their birthday, but I never got any.

Speaker 3:

But not you, nope, and she did it in front of you, in front of me. Oh, wow, wow. Who is that? Somebody else.

Speaker 1:

You know who she is. Hi, I love you, boo-boo, we miss you.

Speaker 3:

I don't know who it is. Who, oh, ok, I'm sorry, but like obviously, you would have done the same thing.

Speaker 1:

She's a fucking kid.

Speaker 3:

No, I would have brought both of you.

Speaker 1:

Thank you, but it wasn't Sonia's birthday so I couldn't do that, but she still would have bought me flowers.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, for that it just would have been like a ever so slightly smaller arrangement, she would have hated it Like no, I would have not.

Speaker 2:

No, she wouldn't have Lucky, she would have.

Speaker 3:

Because I do that now with my parents. You do.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, oh my gosh, my mom. This is so off topic, but she hates when we give my dad presents.

Speaker 3:

Because she's a jelly belly. She doesn't hate it, but she gets jealous. She gets jealous. That's my mom too.

Speaker 2:

Really, oh my god, I thought it was just my mom. I was like mom, it's not, so whenever I get something, it's father's day too.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, your mother's day went by just a few months ago, calm down baby, it doesn't matter.

Speaker 3:

So I understand. So I would have brought you.

Speaker 1:

Thank you, yeah, I appreciate that I can't believe you still remember that. Oh, I will never forget. You have traumatized her.

Speaker 2:

They were beautiful flowers.

Speaker 1:

They were exactly. I hope she likes them. Hey, boo, she loved them.

Speaker 3:

I think she needs to pay for your therapy.

Speaker 1:

Anyways, we were talking about Valentine's Day, anyways, no but Jerome was the first person to give me Valentine's Day flowers and he sent them to work and I was so lala.

Speaker 2:

I was like, yeah, that's like a highlight, right. Yeah, you sent me flowers to work.

Speaker 1:

And oh my gosh, like everybody look at this. I have a boyfriend and we were not dating at the time Somebody like me.

Speaker 3:

Really the style contestant, though he was trying to pull you.

Speaker 1:

It worked, it worked, it worked. You do it again.

Speaker 3:

So, men, if you're listening, you're trying to, or women, or women. My bad. Thank you. Thank you for that perspective, Gotcha girl.

Speaker 2:

That's why we're here. That's why we're here, Men or women they thems all in between.

Speaker 3:

If you want to pull your partner or your crush or whatever, get them flowers.

Speaker 2:

And send them to work. I can't believe Send them to work. Honestly, as a person who dates women too, I can't believe how many women don't get flowers. Don't get or give, no, don't get them. It's insane because I would always give flowers, Except for me Not like I dated a lot of people.

Speaker 1:

right Now, I know where I stand with you.

Speaker 2:

No, no, I'm talking about romantic, romantic. I don't care, I don't care.

Speaker 1:

I'm more of a misad.

Speaker 2:

You're more of a more of a misad. I've never gotten flowers.

Speaker 1:

Never Ever. No, I'm just kidding. You have for my birthday.

Speaker 2:

I have.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I've given flowers to so many people. You just didn't take them to work. You didn't make a special trip for me, OK.

Speaker 3:

You know what I'm going to do I'm going to deliver myself flowers. Do it, do it, and I'm going to be like oh anonymous, who did this, I wonder? There's sadly, no one's ever given me flowers on those days either.

Speaker 2:

Do what I can't believe that. I can't believe that.

Speaker 3:

That's my heartbreaking. Oh, that's fine.

Speaker 1:

Maybe this year will be there, maybe.

Speaker 3:

I was supposed to start working on finding a relationship to start that, but we're working on it.

Speaker 2:

We're working on it as a team.

Speaker 1:

As a team.

Speaker 3:

It's going to be a team sport a team effort and maybe that's what I need.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I needed a.

Speaker 3:

PR team.

Speaker 1:

We got you girl, we got you, we got you.

Speaker 3:

Anyways, I would love that for me to happen, and to everyone else as well.

Speaker 1:

It feels really nice. Like honestly it does.

Speaker 3:

I get a little bit of attention.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

And then you know someone's going to be jealous. You know someone's going to be jealous and I personally enjoy that.

Speaker 2:

I would personally enjoy that you just sit there and smile. I just enjoy that. I'm glad I met you. You're flowers.

Speaker 3:

And then you'd see someone give you a stank face and you'd be like mm-hmm, yeah, they're mine.

Speaker 2:

What about who got bigger flowers? Because there? Are some places where they're like a bunch of girls get it, but some of them are bigger, some of them are smaller. Does that matter? Does size matter when it comes to?

Speaker 3:

flowers, flowers or flowers.

Speaker 1:

Flowers and flowers. I don't feel like size matters.

Speaker 3:

I think yeah, I know, I don't think so the bigger the better, obviously.

Speaker 1:

They're hard to carry.

Speaker 3:

Wait, are we still?

Speaker 1:

talking about flowers.

Speaker 3:

I have no time to carry about flowers.

Speaker 1:

You guys are sick. I would like to.

Speaker 3:

Flowers. I would like to, I would like to carry flowers. They're terrible. Even if you give me a small arrangement and a little mason jar, what if you get?

Speaker 2:

her so cute. A rose, is that enough?

Speaker 1:

That's fine. Yeah, that is fine, that's totally fine.

Speaker 2:

I've never been a big fan, so I don't really care for flowers.

Speaker 1:

You don't like flowers.

Speaker 2:

I love flowers. I think they're beautiful, but I've never really cared for them. It's not something that's going to wow me Make your day.

Speaker 3:

What would make your day? What would be your gift? What would be your Valentine's Day?

Speaker 1:

What would somebody? What has been one of the gifts for Valentine's Day that a person, a partner, got for you that you're like? Yes, this is my thing.

Speaker 2:

I can't remember because I have really bad memory, but I think Did they give you money? No, I don't like money like that.

Speaker 1:

That's so not thoughtful.

Speaker 2:

No, it's not. I feel like doing something fun that we both enjoy would be cool. Little activity moment, uh-huh, yeah, more than a thing.

Speaker 1:

OK, even like quality time.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, or even like a card. A card is really sweet.

Speaker 3:

Oh, that would be very cute. Actually, that's not bad at all, that's really sweet.

Speaker 2:

But I mean, I enjoy flowers. You can keep giving them to me. I've gotten flowers several Valentine's, but it's never something that's been like. Oh my gosh.

Speaker 3:

You need this yeah.

Speaker 2:

OK.

Speaker 1:

I love flowers. I'm good. Yeah, flowers for my birthday, flowers for Valentine's I love flowers.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Especially when someone gets them for you. Yeah, it's great. It may not be unsee, but it's fine.

Speaker 1:

Right.

Speaker 2:

For your birthday though.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I got you Not a special trip right now.

Speaker 2:

Did I not come to see you, though, ever?

Speaker 3:

No, she said move bitch, I'm here to see my boo, yeah, basically.

Speaker 1:

Not once. That is not true. I'm pretty sure I came to see you. You have not. You might not have a good memory, but I do. I think I was there. You said shut the fuck up, you wouldn't move. I'm here to see someone else. She found me crying in the closet.

Speaker 2:

I did.

Speaker 3:

I did.

Speaker 1:

I regretted it.

Speaker 3:

That's what it was. It was the broom closet. Yeah, it was so dark. I fucking hate you.

Speaker 1:

It was so dark. Baby girl, come back here.

Speaker 2:

Baby girl. You never call the baby girl.

Speaker 1:

You're so bullshit. In that moment you had to. Yeah, I was so distraught and my makeup was like running that I had to be pulled out of there. Baby girl, come here. And then she went and took me and bought me some dinner.

Speaker 3:

I did. I bought her a steak dinner Too much. Oh my gosh, just kidding.

Speaker 1:

Why do you guys?

Speaker 3:

think people hate Valentine's Day.

Speaker 1:

I think it's a reminder that they're alone, that you're single here, that you're single, You're single but that doesn't mean, you're alone, I guess yeah, but like the partner me and Ryan, I guess it depends on how you're seeing that time of your life.

Speaker 2:

If you're single, right. If you're actively being in a state of despair and pain, then that reminder that other people have somebody who loves them, it's obviously hurtful.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's true, I think when I was like 30, 30, 34, that was single. It's like, ok, I'll just figure out how to celebrate Valentine's Day in a different way, because I just really believed that it was not going to be for me. So it was just like, OK, I'll party with my friends that are single. Hell yeah, we did party. We did party.

Speaker 3:

We did party pretty hard. I mean, if you can do that do it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Change your. I think changing your way of looking at that day, it's a good skill.

Speaker 3:

It's a holiday that has been very commercialized. Yes, it does have some sort of villages background to it, but it's a holiday that's been very commercialized. It would be like a day where you spend money.

Speaker 2:

Like fucking capitalism, exactly. Gosh.

Speaker 1:

Capitalism has ruined Valentine's Day. It's ruined everything.

Speaker 3:

Sorry, you wanted to start this, didn't you?

Speaker 2:

Sorry for anyone who's listening and just got their ears destroyed by that. You're welcome. We apologize, I don't.

Speaker 3:

Anyways it's become like a very commercialized holiday. So don't feel too bad. It's being pushed down our throat, you know it's. It can be a small gesture, it can be a good small gesture, it can be a huge gesture. But like, be mindful, word of the week, word of the week Again, a game, a game, you got to say it like that. Anyways, it's being pushed down our throats, it's being like commercialized, it's being, you know, yeah it's all over.

Speaker 2:

You know like anything that's being pushed down your throat, obviously.

Speaker 3:

And I think we should be aware I'm going to skip right over that.

Speaker 1:

And Valentine's Day.

Speaker 3:

And Valentine's, a lot of these activities. Take that, I'm like anyway, anyways, it's getting hot in here.

Speaker 2:

No, no, no but like can you open the window?

Speaker 3:

Don't feel too bad about this going on in your life right now yeah you're lonely the rest of the year. Oh gosh.

Speaker 1:

I actually did see a meme. It's like don't be sad that nobody likes you on Valentine's Day. Nobody likes you any other day of the year. So sad.

Speaker 3:

It's so sad. So I think that's the mentality some individuals may take.

Speaker 2:

I think it's a good thing to think about friendships though, like if you don't have a partner, maybe you have friendships. Or if you have your parents, or if you have like grandparents or wherever you have that you can celebrate that relationship with. It's like a good opportunity to do that, I think.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm going to share how. But when I was really single and she knew like I was struggling with it, she used to send me little Valentine's flower pictures on my phone and she always wished me happy. Valentine's. Day she would make me special dinners, and like she always tried to treat me extra well so that I didn't feel lonely, and it was like yeah, very sweet, but yeah, did you guys get gifts, valentine's gifts, from your parents as children?

Speaker 3:

Oh, parents, no, I did.

Speaker 2:

I think that's super cute.

Speaker 3:

My dad used to get me a gift, and my mom too.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I love that.

Speaker 1:

That's so sweet.

Speaker 3:

Actually, maybe that's when I got flowers, but anyways, so you have gotten flowers.

Speaker 2:

Yes, actually, yeah, you have.

Speaker 3:

I got this little dog that said I love you and I was like ah, thank you, dad.

Speaker 1:

Tell your dad and your mom that that's a good tradition. They need to continue, yeah you know what?

Speaker 3:

Maybe not with me, but with Giancarlo, yeah that's cute, my nephew Mm hmm.

Speaker 1:

I like that, I mean with you too, sure.

Speaker 2:

How do you guys feel about asking someone to be your Valentine? Have you guys ever done that?

Speaker 3:

No, I haven't, but I think I will someday. Yeah, yeah, mm. Hmm, how would you do it? Will you be my Valentine?

Speaker 2:

You would just say it like that Is that not enough for you. For me personally, no, but maybe for the person you're with.

Speaker 3:

I'm just kidding. No, I'm just kidding. Do I have to like bring something with me? Is that a good idea? Like a lollipop, a lollipop would be great.

Speaker 1:

Am I? I see why. Ok, I get it. What? Where's she singing, yeah?

Speaker 3:

Please. I expect everything.

Speaker 1:

I'm just like wait a minute, Like I have to put in the effort I do. Yes.

Speaker 3:

Fuck, that's what I've been doing wrong this whole time, mm hmm, oops, we'll work on it.

Speaker 1:

We'll work on it. Yeah, we'll work on it. Team effort, team effort.

Speaker 3:

Yes, yes, yes, ok, but yeah, I feel like I would. I would ask someone to be my Valentine.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, think in a way to right now.

Speaker 1:

Mm hmm, do it Me. I never asked, but I guess I should ask my husband if he wants to be my Valentine, right, mm hmm?

Speaker 2:

Do it right now?

Speaker 1:

I shouldn't assume. No, I'm going to make it special.

Speaker 3:

Oh, you're so cute. Ok, start now, though. No, oh, ok, she said no, she said no, and it's no Final. But she's got a surprise ready for you Tonight.

Speaker 1:

Woo, ok, not tonight, babe. I'm sorry I have to go shopping for your surprise. It's a word I shared Real quick. I'm going to look through Amazon.

Speaker 3:

Didn't he get a 3D printer? Get him some filament.

Speaker 2:

Oh there you go yeah yeah, he's like oh, what about you Red?

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, that's a red and pink.

Speaker 3:

Oh man, yeah. What about you, Nancy? Have you ever or will you ever?

Speaker 2:

I have asked people to be my Valentine before. Yes, love that. Somebody just asked me.

Speaker 3:

Love it even more.

Speaker 2:

Mm, hmm, and I said yes.

Speaker 1:

And it was super cute Very special.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it feels really nice. Ok, even if you're in a relationship, I think I mean it's a given right that's your person.

Speaker 3:

I think, yeah, I think, especially if you're in a relationship.

Speaker 2:

It's really special to see them put the effort to ask, but they're still thinking about you For a special day, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Love that yeah.

Speaker 2:

So cute.

Speaker 3:

Very cute.

Speaker 1:

We are cheesy, we are, and hopeless, romantic Mm, hmm, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Me too. Yeah, some of us are. Some of us you aren't.

Speaker 1:

You. I think you're, I think you are.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think you're slowly coming over to this side, though.

Speaker 3:

I think so.

Speaker 2:

I'm like feeling you gave us hugs. Now I do.

Speaker 3:

How is that? Yeah, that's weird. It's great, but you know what I was like. I've thought about this. I'm not sure about this yet. Get married on Valentine's Day no.

Speaker 2:

Why not? How do you feel about that, sonia? I think it's great, yeah. Yeah, I don't know why wouldn't you do it, because I mean, you're hoping that this is going to last forever.

Speaker 1:

But if it doesn't, valentine's Day will always remind you.

Speaker 3:

I don't think so. That way, though, just move on. I don't think so Just move on? I don't think so. Just forget the past. Learn to move on. Jeez, I get you saying no, but that's a good perspective. Like yes, it could be very memorable in a good way and in also a good way, but about, about proposals.

Speaker 2:

I don't think so. I think they have to be there separately For me.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't think.

Speaker 3:

I would mind.

Speaker 2:

I think, yeah, yeah, I guess it would be cute.

Speaker 1:

I mean, I wouldn't say no, Obviously no do it tomorrow, the 15th.

Speaker 3:

I don't want it to be on a ballot. How?

Speaker 1:

dare you. Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 3:

I just hope that it doesn't feel like forced for people to spend a lot of money on this day.

Speaker 1:

You shouldn't have to spend a lot of money on this.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think you can like even write something out by a card, or even just write a note. That could be super special. Like we were saying, just even buy it If you want to buy something, like one rose. You don't have to go like and spend money that you don't have. Exactly Especially that try to impress someone because that's not the reality of you.

Speaker 3:

You're showing something different, so they're getting something that's not really you and the other individual shouldn't be, I guess, asking for too much, or but I don't mean that in a way of like not being able to ask for things, but like they, if you know this person, if you know the other individual, like you should know their limits in a way and don't ask for too much If you know that they can't give you a lot.

Speaker 1:

but I mean I think in our first season we talked about love languages and how important it was to love languages. And I think, like learning the people you hang around with their love language will help you or give you like a little bit of a heads up on, like gifts and stuff and, like you were saying, if you can afford, like flowers or shiny flowers to work because it can be expensive. Yeah, so like you can clean up the house because some people love acts of service you can cook a dinner.

Speaker 1:

You can. What did you say? Clean it right, I have no. You can give, like, make, craft, something, like you know, there's so many things that are so meaningful that you don't have to spend too much money on.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so one day somebody wrote a song for me.

Speaker 1:

Oh, and then I realized that it was a the bookie song. Oh, plagiarism. Not only that, but like at least for me.

Speaker 2:

The book is like dude, it was so funny.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's not my thing. They literally told you. They wrote that song for you yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

What song was it?

Speaker 2:

I don't remember it anymore, it was just really funny.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, for a guy.

Speaker 3:

The average Valentine's Day gift giver spends nearly $200 on Valentine's Day gifts and goodies for about 26 billion overall 26 billion industry. Yeah, you don't have to worry about spending too much. It's being taken care of by other individuals. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Just do nice things for each other. Do you guys have?

Speaker 2:

any expectations if you're in a relationship, or would you care if you didn't get anything?

Speaker 3:

Oh, I would definitely care. Yeah, I would throw a fit, says the person that just said, don't ask for too much.

Speaker 1:

Know what the other individual has and doesn't have. I would throw a fit.

Speaker 3:

If you don't get anything, you wouldn't say something like nothing, not even if they didn't ask you to be your Valentine's, Like I'm thinking from that perspective, like if they just completely ignored it and it's just another day, but you're with your partner.

Speaker 1:

I think I would be heard and like a little bothered and you would have no.

Speaker 2:

But because I save my fit for other things. But you never give me a thought.

Speaker 3:

Anyway, I told you from the closet Exactly.

Speaker 1:

That's a whole different story. That was a birthday fit. Birthdays are more important than Valentine's.

Speaker 2:

That's what I'm saying and I got your flowers for your birthday. You're welcome.

Speaker 1:

But you didn't take them to my work.

Speaker 1:

You're welcome Anyway no, I think I would be hurt. So, yeah, I also think you have to have like a good line of communication, like you can't expect your partner to be like like know everything you want or you need. Like you know, are you expecting? Like are you guys going to make something out of this holiday? Are you going to work together towards it? Are we going to be the kind of couples that don't celebrate? Like you have to communicate your expectations and then if you communicated your expectations and he's still, or they still show up with nothing, then you address it.

Speaker 2:

Then yeah, they can throw it.

Speaker 3:

Thanks for the coaching that kind of reminds me of. That's actually a great point to bring up because that reminds me of I don't know if you guys saw this video on that this lady has never had their stocking filled up from their husband and she fills them up for her husband and her children and I'm like, okay, yeah, that feels awful, but like you also never told them to, there was no communication.

Speaker 2:

I feel like if it's there and nobody's like everybody's seeing it, but, nobody's taking care of it.

Speaker 3:

That's a different story.

Speaker 2:

That's kind of like a punch in the face.

Speaker 1:

I feel like that's just being kind, like your wife does all these things for you and your kids and you. How have you not noticed that she, her stuff, is never like, but there's nothing ever in hers Like? How have you managed to spend all this time with her and not?

Speaker 3:

notice that Right. Like oh, she might need some hair ties.

Speaker 1:

Let me put them even if that you know, or chocolate would probably be happy with anything at this point Exactly yeah.

Speaker 2:

Anything's better than nothing. Yeah, but that's a different perspective.

Speaker 3:

But I mean, if you spend that much time, yeah, different holiday too, but I would step after the first year.

Speaker 1:

I'd be like well where the couple that doesn't give each other anything then take everything down. I'll give stuff to the kids.

Speaker 2:

Return everything Amazon. Here you go.

Speaker 1:

Refuse the delivery of stuff. I think it out of here.

Speaker 3:

Yeah that While most people send out nice messages for holiday, Victorian era folks sometimes use Valentine's to turn down a suitor called a vinegar Valentine. Oh, I do like it, but I hope that never happened.

Speaker 2:

Have you ever said no to someone who asked you to be their Valentine?

Speaker 1:

No, I never really got asked to be anybody's Valentine. Oh no, I'm so sad.

Speaker 2:

I mean my husband did ask me.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, before him yeah.

Speaker 1:

So I couldn't turn anyone down.

Speaker 2:

Otherwise I would have have you guys seen the videos where like there's flowers or like the big teddy bears in the trash can, where that's so sad.

Speaker 1:

Probably like the guys who have been turned down. I know I hate that.

Speaker 2:

But also, you can't say yes just because no you shouldn't.

Speaker 3:

You. Can I take the presents? That's not your.

Speaker 1:

Valentine.

Speaker 2:

No, that's no. That's why why he's already spent the money.

Speaker 3:

Don't go away. I would even name the teddy bear after you.

Speaker 1:

She would have a collection of teddy bears and this one is, and this and this man.

Speaker 3:

No, I'm just kidding, I would never do that, yeah. But I totally understand like turning them down If you're not going to feel anything towards them.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think it's sad. But also, what else can you do? Like, yeah, it's the fucking sucks, but you're not going to say yes just because you don't want him to feel bad. That's, I think that's worse.

Speaker 1:

Yeah Cause, then you like have to break the news that you only said yes because you don't want to embarrass.

Speaker 2:

Right teddy bear.

Speaker 1:

It's because the teddy bear and the flowers were like real muchones and I really wanted them. Whoa, and that changes everything, but never mind.

Speaker 2:

Wait a minute, do you?

Speaker 3:

guys have any Valentine's movies, isn't?

Speaker 2:

there one called Valentine's Day.

Speaker 3:

I wish I could tell you.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, there is one With.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 3:

Speaker 1:

Speaker 2:

Speaker 3:

Speaker 2:

Speaker 1:

Speaker 3:

Okay, I wasn't sure if you guys knew of any, just so I can watch.

Speaker 1:

I just love all the rom-coms you do. The Purposele is one of my favorites.

Speaker 2:

So funny.

Speaker 3:

Is that with Sandra Bullock?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, ryan Reynolds, I actually like that movie.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's really funny.

Speaker 3:

I watched it like twice.

Speaker 1:

I love that movie. Two weeks notice with Sandra Bullock in Hugh Grant. Anything with Sandra Bullock.

Speaker 2:

Hope floats. She's so good. I've never seen that one.

Speaker 3:

What was it?

Speaker 1:

called again. Hope floats, hope floats With Sandra Bullock and Harry Styles. Conrad Jinger.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm looking at that one.

Speaker 2:

One of my favorite movies is Fifty First Date. It's such a great movie.

Speaker 3:

I've only watched part of it.

Speaker 2:

The Wedding Singer. It's so good.

Speaker 1:

Ever After with Drew Barrymore. Great, he's so cute. He is very cute, do you want more? No, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I think I have to sing a汽 too I'm trying not to be a ok-.

Speaker 3:

No, not everyone. You're taking a look for the song. I love it.

Speaker 2:

You're a ok-, stop Shinlink.

Speaker 1:

I think we'll be vlogging again, again, soon, sir, let's wrap this up. Yes.

Speaker 2:

Oh, thank you.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, come over.

Speaker 3:

Yes, I love you, love you so good.

Speaker 2:

You might cry. Has Gerard Bartlett? Yes, yes. And Hillary's swing, bro.

Speaker 1:

Yes, she's good, and he is top Gerard in this movie, Like he looks really good. I mean not 300, the 300, gerard, like not that.

Speaker 3:

But the next best thing. My Gerard is Phantom of the Opera. Gerard, oh, but Really.

Speaker 2:

Hillary looks amazing in this movie.

Speaker 3:

I bet she does. I think she's good.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, she's, yeah, my top Gerard is 300 Gerard.

Speaker 3:

Minus. Phantom of the Opera. Her top, hillary swing I like Hillary's swing, minus Hillary's swing. Yes, we've heard her do it three times the first 300 times we get it.

Speaker 1:

So she likes Hillary's swing.

Speaker 3:

Got it and you and I have different versions of Gerard, but we're that, we love.

Speaker 1:

But you like PSI. Love you, gerard OK. I'll wash it. Such a good movie. Anyway, valentine's Day, yeah, watch all the sappy love movies. They're great.

Speaker 2:

Why not? I always have a good ending.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I hope so, have you guys. Oh, hitch is a good one with Will Smith. Yeah, that's Eva Mendez, eva Mendez.

Speaker 3:

Oh, that one I watched a lifetime ago. I can't even remember it, it's cute.

Speaker 2:

It's like good Valentine's one. Eva Mendez and Ryan Gosling Great, love them, love them.

Speaker 3:

Yes. Love them, I wish they did carpets together Like what's called red carpet Red carpet Cleaning.

Speaker 1:

No, but that too. Maybe they do that at home.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, we're not, they have kids, so I mean, they're probably doing that.

Speaker 2:

My family and I have a business with clean carpets. Anyone's interested?

Speaker 3:

If anyone's interested, If you have a business that needs cleaning, hit us up at Lundina City Mine Please do.

Speaker 1:

It's going to be so funny if we get all requests for your carpet cleaning.

Speaker 3:

That'd be great, as long as you listen to it while you're cleaning, right, perfect.

Speaker 1:

Why not? Sounds great, doesn't?

Speaker 3:

matter.

Speaker 1:

Great, hey, but we have another topic. We have a segment that we are ready to dive into.

Speaker 2:

Did we even say a fan favorite?

Speaker 1:

Oh, that's big. I like it. Ooh, please go to my intro.

Speaker 2:

Diana Zelysheet.

Speaker 3:

What Welcome back hoes.

Speaker 1:

What are you mad about today, diana? I'm not mad, well, just disappointed Just disappointed.

Speaker 3:

That's like the mature person in me. I like it Es que quiero un ramo buchón.

Speaker 1:

Don't we all though? Yeah, I want. Can somebody show Jerome what a ramo buchón is, so that he can?

Speaker 2:

Yes, I'll put it right now, while you give your answer. Thank you.

Speaker 3:

OK, so a ramo buchón is an extravagant show of appreciation with flowers, chocolates, in a very large manner, and it may be seen. Yep, he sees it now. Can I see the picture too?

Speaker 2:

They're just huge right, that's it, it's very.

Speaker 1:

It's like the size of a girl, yeah, and you've probably seen it on social media when these girls are holding a huge bouquet.

Speaker 3:

Girls are huge, that's what you heard.

Speaker 1:

These girls are.

Speaker 3:

The girls are holding a huge bouquet of flowers, also known as buchón because of its size.

Speaker 1:

It's extravagant, but in general the word buchón just means somebody. That's very extravagant, right.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it could be seen. I'm thinking borderline tacky.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, not borderline, like really tacky.

Speaker 3:

Not there for me but almost, but like almost, not there, though Not there.

Speaker 1:

Almost. Are you serious, like not there Not? There, oh my gosh, I'm shocked that you both said that, but, like almost, I think it's all the way.

Speaker 3:

No, but that's appreciated, but almost is appreciated because like they're going the extra mile, it may not be super cute.

Speaker 2:

But they always are cute though. But yes, that's true, they are always cute, so it has to be cute. It has to be cute.

Speaker 3:

So it's just a little bit more than you would expect. And receiving that would be amazing. And not only that, I want the carne asada. I want a buchón carne asada.

Speaker 1:

Extra, just Everything. Extra Extra carne, extra vegetables, tortillas.

Speaker 3:

I'm thinking guacamole, yeah, girl.

Speaker 2:

Exactly Like a whole tub of guacamole and some carne Okay.

Speaker 3:

Okay, que me recojen en la camineta buschona. Pick me up in your lifted truck, in your buschon truck.

Speaker 2:

Escalator. Do they still use this spinning wheel? Is that what you're looking for?

Speaker 3:

No, that's not buschon.

Speaker 1:

That's more like gangsta. Yeah, exactly, she needs the camineta with the big lifts.

Speaker 3:

Yo quiero la chiva, la chiva y el helero.

Speaker 2:

To go to the chicle.

Speaker 3:

La chiva y el helero Lifted buschona.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 3:

Just for a bit though.

Speaker 2:

So they're gonna return it no because he's a buschon.

Speaker 1:

He might have another car.

Speaker 3:

Exactly, he's gonna have two vehicles or three. What else? Una serenata buschona, Ah con banda o norteño, mi norteño, yo sería norteño.

Speaker 1:

I would like a norteño banda, una banda o mariachi.

Speaker 2:

Mi mariachi would do it too. Mariachi can always do it, I'm gonna do it. Somebody gave me a margarita earlier.

Speaker 3:

So blame me on them.

Speaker 2:

Anyway mariachi, mariachi banda norteña.

Speaker 1:

whatever you want, Lo que sea, mientras que sea serenata.

Speaker 3:

Whatever it is, as long as es esa serenata.

Speaker 1:

De un trio De un trio, de donde they're kind of po-.

Speaker 3:

You guys are terrible. Es de música, wey De música amigas Los slávidos.

Speaker 1:

no, I feel like trios are kind of boring.

Speaker 3:

They sing whatever you want, don't they?

Speaker 1:

They sing whatever you want. No, I feel like the music they sing is usually sad.

Speaker 2:

That's why I was asking, because I don't know if that would be a good serenata vibe.

Speaker 3:

I thought it was just more like they bring three individuals, three different instruments and then they sing whatever you want them to.

Speaker 1:

I thought that was my perspective about the video. Whatever you want them to do. Titi me preguntó. I didn't go to the chat, though. Yes.

Speaker 3:

I hope they don't sing that one. No, but I have a say no my bushon date.

Speaker 2:

Fuck, no, come, come, and I have a date please.

Speaker 3:

Okay, hold on, hold on what would be the perfect serenata song for your bushon.

Speaker 2:

What would be?

Speaker 1:

That's such a great question. I'm thinking. I'm thinking Amor.

Speaker 2:

Confuso de Gerard.

Speaker 3:

Ortiz, that used to be my jam when I was younger.

Speaker 2:

Mine is still. I can see it in you. Si nos dejan dejos el conocimiento?

Speaker 1:

I don't know, I have to think about it Something by.

Speaker 2:

Vicente.

Speaker 1:

Fernández, I'm thinking.

Speaker 2:

I thought you were going to say Carine León. How could I forget?

Speaker 3:

Carine León I'm trying to redo his. Like. You know how it doesn't work, I can't do it. I just want to remind you of him so you can think of a good song. Primerasita I hate the love song.

Speaker 1:

It's a love song.

Speaker 2:

It has a sad ending.

Speaker 3:

I don't like happy endings. Of course she does. Who gave him a drink?

Speaker 1:

Jero is not allowed to give her drinks anymore. You're blaming them right now. This is who I am.

Speaker 2:

This is who you really are Lesbian, you're right.

Speaker 1:

Lesbian You're so dumb, you're so dumb.

Speaker 3:

Lesbian yeah, lesbian. You're so stupid you are, oh my gosh. But yes, that's what I want.

Speaker 1:

Serenita Wichona.

Speaker 3:

Serenita Wichona. So this is basically like a call to action.

Speaker 2:

Is what you're doing? You're sitting there and saying this shit.

Speaker 3:

You know what? Why not? Are we manifesting it? We are manifesting that the manifestation for the month.

Speaker 1:

I just have a lot of questions about your type and the Bujuan thing Coming from that person. Right, but it's okay, you have enough friends that can help you get there.

Speaker 3:

And advice Can we just talk about her type for a second, because I think that's important context, or there's a request that is a good point, because my type is a complete opposite, so I'm concerned about this, just because Okay, but like any individual could do this for their partner.

Speaker 1:

Right, we can help him out.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, you can look up this I don't want to say trend, but this lifestyle and kind of learn from it and try to imitate it.

Speaker 1:

Right, so you don't have to be a specific ethnicity.

Speaker 3:

To be able to be Bujuan. You just got to know how to learn. You just need to learn to be a Bujuan.

Speaker 1:

Exactly Got it.

Speaker 3:

I like skinny white guys. Good luck with that.

Speaker 1:

The complete opposite of an Hispanic. Bujuan, bujuan, I'm dead. I think that was my type. I think that was my type.

Speaker 3:

I think that was my type.

Speaker 1:

I think that was my concern. As we went through the list of the things she wanted, I was like Okay, okay, You're like I am not able to check bucket. But I mean call to action, manifestation, all the things. I'm glad you're putting it out there. Yeah, it can happen.

Speaker 2:

It can happen, you never know.

Speaker 1:

You never know. You never know. You just should know that if you do get a Bujuan to do all those things for you, they might ask for some. Some weird things sent back Whoa, I'm not saying just like they seem pretty intense.

Speaker 3:

They do. I am willing to try anything once, okay, well now we know what a great way to live life.

Speaker 2:

I'll try anything once. Hold on. I wish I could live life like you. I'm not. I don't want to try anything once.

Speaker 3:

I'll just try once.

Speaker 1:

I'll try it twice. Oh my gosh no.

Speaker 3:

Okay, let's be mindful of the things that you are requesting yeah, I won't do drugs. Right, there's things that I wouldn't do.

Speaker 1:

You have a limit. There's limits, we got it.

Speaker 3:

It's very high. One drug.

Speaker 1:

All the others, never, never, basically.

Speaker 3:

But anyways, that is my request from the universe. I like it.

Speaker 1:

Thanks. Let's go back to Valentine's Day. Let's go back. Let's wheel it back in. Let's go back. Any advice for Valentine's Day that you have.

Speaker 3:

Try to enjoy it.

Speaker 2:

Just make the best of it, even if you get yourself a gift. Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Take yourself out. How, though?

Speaker 1:

No wait, you are laughing at this, but it's such a good thing to learn to go to dinner by yourself.

Speaker 3:

I'm thinking way darker.

Speaker 2:

Take yourself out. Oh my gosh.

Speaker 3:

No, that's not what I mean. We're thinking dates and dinner. Get yourself out on a date by yourself. Get yourself some candy. Get yourself some flowers. Nancy is very dark. But it's fine.

Speaker 1:

We're here to rephrase her things.

Speaker 3:

No give her more margaritas.

Speaker 1:

We should just talk to our listeners and see if they want an extra margarita or less margarita for Nancy.

Speaker 3:

I think that's a good idea. She's got one margarita right now. We should do two.

Speaker 1:

Next time, let's ask our listeners what do you think I?

Speaker 2:

might start singing.

Speaker 3:

Which one are you going to sing?

Speaker 1:

Oh man. Anyway, enjoy your Valentine's Day and be happy. You, yes, enjoy yourself, enjoy your time and have a good night and have a good night.

Speaker 3:

Good day or good day, treat yourself. We love you. Bye See, ya, take yourself out.
